Stacey Abrams for Governor Internships


Interested in politics? Love Stacey Abrams? Eager to join a historic campaign team?

Then, girl (or: boy), you best consider becoming an intern for the Stacey Abrams for Governor campaign.

They're looking for students, mamas with extra time on their hands, dudes with flexible work schedules: anyone who's passionate about joining, and ready to roll up their sleeves. Interns will assist in the following departments: Communications, Digital, Research, Finance, Scheduling/ Operations and goodness knows what else. They're flexible with school and work schedules as long as the applicant is able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Interns will have an essential role on the campaign team; this is meaningful work, people.

The internship program will start August 1 and will end on election day November 6, 2018 (ending date may vary.) Internships are unpaid, unless you value cool stuff like doing the right thing - they pay well in that regard.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Knowledge of social networks and new media technologies

• Commitment to work a minimum of 12 hours per week

• An interest in politics and political campaigns is highly preferred

• Ideal candidates should be organized, reliable, detail orientated and self-motivated

ELIGIBILITY:

AFG Internship program is open to high school students; Part-time or Full-time College students. Open to all qualified applicants without regard to their race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic prohibited by state or local law.
